What is DJI AirWorks?

Commanding 70% of the consumer drone market,  leading drone manufacturer DJI is putting on its own 3-day conference for the second year in a row – DJI AirWorks.

Following a highly successful debut in 2016, DJI AirWorks is back and will take place in Denver, Colorado from Tuesday November 7th to Thursday November 9th, 2017 at the Denver Sheraton Downtown Hotel.

The event brings together DJI’s complete commercial drone ecosystem under one roof. DJI AirWorks connects companies from all parts of the drone industry so is an ideal networking opportunity. It should also be a chance to get more familiar with the flagship DJI M200 series aircraft. The DJI M200 series of aircraft are particularly geared towards the enterprise market with its rugged, water-resistant exterior and robust performance in challenging electro-magnetic environments.

DJI AirWorks is likely to be a feast for those who are seeking a deeper understanding of drone technology and its uses in industry.

Although DJI AirWorks is a single manufacturer conference, much of the information and education on offer will be applicable to any drone platform. Companies and public sector organizations who are using DJI aircraft in all sorts of imaginative ways will be exhibiting and explaining their initiatives in a series of workshops and lectures.

Highlighted speakers include Wayne Baker of the Joshua Fire Department, Dan Burton of Dronebase and Barry Moore of the Mansfield Police Department.

Who is DJI AirWorks aimed at?

The Conference has 5 educational tracks: agriculture, energy, construction, public safety and infrastructure. The event will be beneficial for businesses, government entities or independent operators who currently use or are considering using drones. Visitors who are brand new to drones that are seeking entrepreneurial opportunities or to refine their business strategies will also find the event useful.

DJI Airworks will also have some exciting announcements – in particular, rumors are circulating that there may be more info on the much anticipated DJI FlightHub. (DJI FlightHub™ is a web-based software package allowing a DJI aircraft pilot to share real-time data and visuals with offsite parties over the Internet. In an easy-to-use control center, DJI FlightHub lets users plan flights with multiple drones and keep track of each aircraft’s status).

But what is it like to be an attendee at DJI AirWorks?

The atmosphere is relaxed, but attendees are highly focused on education, finding out the latest in DJI innovations and conducting serious business networking. Experts are on hand from DJI to answer your deepest, most technical questions. The event is the largest gathering of DJI nerds on US soil.  To get a taste of last year’s 2016 Conference, check out the DJI AirWorks YouTube channel.
